Home Flushing a property

If a property has been vacant for weeks or months – it is important to ensure the safety of your building water systems before occupancy resumes. When water is not drawn through a building’s water system over an extended period, the water becomes stagnant.

The quality of stagnated water can be unsafe. While the quality of water in Cayman Water’s main distribution system circulates and is monitored regularly, the utility has no control over water quality once the water passes through the water meter.
