GRAND CAYMAN, located 480 miles south of Miami, Florida,Ã‚Â is one of the largest financial centers in the world with overÃ‚Â $1.8 trillion on deposit in more than 250 banks. A BritishÃ‚Â Overseas Territory, the Cayman Islands are comprised ofÃ‚Â three islands: Grand Cayman, the countryÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s capital andÃ‚Â commercial center with approximately 56,000 residents, andÃ‚Â the more sparsely populated Ã¢â‚¬Å“Sister IslandsÃ¢â‚¬Â of Cayman BracÃ‚Â and Little Cayman, located 80 miles to the northeast.
The other Ã¢â‚¬Å“economic engineÃ¢â‚¬Â of the islands is tourismÃ‚Â which in 2013 attracted approximately 1.7 million visitors toÃ‚Â CaymanÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s beautiful beaches, botanical gardens and wildlife,Ã‚Â which include the blue iguana, an endangered species ofÃ‚Â lizard endemic to Grand Cayman. Consolidated Water Ã¢â‚¬â„¢sÃ‚Â corporate offices are located on the famous Seven MileÃ‚Â Beach, where the CompanyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s subsidiary, Cayman Water,Ã‚Â has been providing drinking water since 1973 and operatesÃ‚Â one of the two water utilities on Grand Cayman Island.Ã‚Â Consolidated Water Ã¢â‚¬â„¢s other Cayman subsidiary, OceanÃ‚Â Conversion Cayman, provides drinking water to the otherÃ‚Â utility on Grand Cayman, the Water Authority-Cayman.
